I bought this basket from a dealer on ebay a few years ago when I thought I might build a collection of Indian items. I did not go very far when I realized I could not devote the time to learning about them. He called this a "Pima" basket. I did not question that since the Pima baskets that I had seen had the "rollin log" design similar to the one on this basket and while I noticed that the Indians usually retained the old designs in their weavings, they did have variations. So, I cannot guarantee that it is from the Pima tribe. It is up to you to to decide that. At any rate, it does seem to have some age to it as you can see by the color. My price is $395.00
