PLEASE READ ! A grouping of approx. 15 etchings by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert "actually sold" by a merchant at a London Fair a few years back. The prices obtained were from $1,300.00 to $2,300.00 EACH. The story was published on page 94 of the Antiques and Arts Weekly (known as the Connecticut Bee) for April 19, 1999. COMPARE MY PRICES !


To me, this is one of the most desirable items in the etchings. It illustrates another of the Queen's talents. The figure on the top left reminds me of Henry VIII. The one on the top right might even have been a living acquaintance of the Queen's? The battle is a strange addition to the rest. Anyhow, this is signed on the lower right with "VR-Sept.1/_1840/After Albe/.W.C". The impression is approx. 5x6" in a 12x14" mat. The impression was so hard that it almost cut through the left edge of the print. That is the dark line you see at the left side edge of the print.
