This fantastic linoleum block print is by "Haeistand Miller". He is a little known "Illustrator" who did much of his work for magazines back in the 1930's. Some of those magazines were: McCalls, Home Journal, Golden Book, Sportsman, and even Hygeia. I was told he did a great one for Hygeia in the October 1933 issue which featured a holloween scene w/witches and children. This "Westward Ho" is titled and signed in the print in the lower left and also titled "Westward Ho-Heistand Miller is printed in pencil". The print shows signs of having been folded (barely) prior to matting. Inside mat view is 5 1/2" H. by 21 1/2" long. I bought all these from Heistand Miller's estate many years ago. This Westward Ho print is priced at $ 350.00

This little "Cabin in the Woods" scene is also a linoleum block print block with a burlap back--just the same as the Indian Chief except no damage on this one. It measures approx. 4 1/2" H. x 5 1/4" wide and is signed "M" in bottom left--and "H" on right side. The lettering in these linoleum blocks is "reversed"--naturally! Reasonable $ 195.00
